1. Hey guys,

I want to upgrade my stock squier p-bass with some good quality pickups.
The kinda sound I'm going for with it is this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI1OZdmQz_A

I realise that his tone is somewhat overdriven, but it's the only example I can think of!

Just looking for suggestions really from people who have tried a few different things out!

Thanks

2. NOW SOLD, PLEASE REMOVE

[s]This is a 1984 Tokai Hardpuncher "precision" style bass, professionally defretted.

Its in very good condition considering it's age, the obvious scratches and dings here and there (but i think that's cool)

it plays very nicely considering it's been defretted rather than originally fretless. When i recieved it I did have to file down the nut a little bit as the action was too high on the lower notes.

there is buzz on the 12th frets that i haven't got round to sorting out.

It has a beautiful warm tone and you can hear the 1984 tokai "sound" when it plays.

now onto why...

I bought this bad boy from japan a few months ago, waited 2 months for it to arrive and have had it for a month and a bit...

So why i am i selling it so soon? you ask..

The main reason is simply it doesn't suit the style of music I like to play/write, and the fretless sound doesn't seem to mix well with pitch shifters and distortion very well...also I could do with the money right now.

I'd like £250 not including postage, so whoever can't pick up, i'll arrange a courier and add the extra.

PM for more info/pics.[/s]

3. Going on a little camping trip in the Yorkshire dales soon and I need a few things, mostly clothes.
Looking for some 30" waist north face style trousers, a fleece and anything else you may want to get rid of.

Cheers

Oh and if you happen to have a 1-2 berth lightweight (around 2kg) tent knocking around you don't want anymore i'd buy it if the price is right!

4. Myself and a guitarist started playing togethor around 2 months ago and now we're getting an idea of what style we're going for we think it's time to get a drummer!

we have a couple of demos on soundcloud, check them out:

http://soundcloud.com/rurtbeynolds/a-ballad-when-youre-bicycling

We're ideally looking for someone with good feel, improvisation skills and "ability".

We're both 23, live in frome, have rehearsal space and have transport.

cheers.

5. Well I just received my soda meiser! And it's INTENSE.

Maybe a bit too intense... Think I'm gonna sell it on if anyone's interested?

I've wanted to get my hands on a catalinbread teaser stallion for a little while now... Anyone had any experience with these? And more importantly, can anyone clone one??? :D

I'm not a drummer (nor do I have one) but can't help but wonder what you're doing to protect it from the rigours of the road?
Well obviously there's no way of making them absolutly indestructable, like most drums, but i'm planning on giving them all a good 4 or 5 coats of clear varnish, which should do it!

here's a more complete pic

7. Hey everyone!

First off, I'm new - so don't lay into me if this is in the wrong section or some bullcrap! :D

Aaaaaanyway, i've recently decided to make some things in my spare time to maybe sell at the monthly artisan market we have here, and the first things i've done is pretty much cover drums in comics.

i think it looks pretty sweet, what do you think?

anyone got any examples of their own designs/prints?

thaaaaanks
