1. Regrettably selling my most valuable bass to fund other projects (cycling). It's an absolute beauty, with a low G to die for (and all the other notes are excellent, too!).

The bass is in fantastic condition. The only cosmetic marks are a few *extremely* minor scratches to the lacquer on the rear. I have done my best to photograph these, you have to turn the bass into a certain light to even see them. They look far worse in the photos than in reality, I promise. As you can see,the original film covering the scratch plate is still present, as are the little stickers on the neck plate - one to advise you not to put it in the bin, the other confirming the legality of the product to be sold in the EU. Phew.

The body of the bass has a lovely, clear grain running the length of it. It's a joy to hold in the hands and play. It comes with nearly new Fender strings, original Fender hard shell case and all the candy, including swing tag, cloth, allen keys, owner documentation and keys.

It goes without saying that the neck is straight as a dye. I had it set up with a medium action, to suit my novice fingers. I take very good care of my basses. They never leave my lounge as I am a useless home player. They get regular Zymol treatment.

Price £750. Collection preferred, alternatively I would consider personally delivering for petrol money depending on distance (based Peterborough, but work in London). I'm not keen on using a courier but do not rule it out.

  2. I'm not using any pedals now, so I am selling these.

[s]The VT1 I bought new from DHA in July 2012. It's in perfect condition. It's never been out of my lounge. Comes with power supply originally supplied by DHA. £100 posted. [/s]Sold
The Big Muff I bought used on here. Very good condition, perfect working order. £55 delivered.
The Boss TU-2 I also bought used on here. Again very good condition and works perfectly, £35 delivered.

  3. In order to fund ludicrously expensive carbon parts for my bicycle, I have to thin my dwindling herd. So I'm offering for sale my Fender Modern Player Telecaster Bass in Butterscotch Blonde, with maple fretboard. You'll notice it's right handed! I bought the bass because I love the style of these, but of course they don't make 'em for us lefties. It was nearly new when I bought it, it had been a shop display. I had the bass professionally flipped and setup by Jon Haire Guitar Services here in Peterborough. This involved a new nut and fret dress and maybe some other work I can't remember. In addition, I had the control knobs shortened so they don't interfere with my playing. Basically I did everything I could to make the bass as playable as possible for a left hander.

Here's a link to the bass on Fender's website:

    http://www.fender.com/en-GB/series/modern-player/modern-player-telecaster-bass/

The bass is in excellent condition. There are a couple of small marks that I have photographed. There are no marks that aren't clearly visible in the photos. Price £275 including as new Ashton gig bag, plus postage. If posted, the bass would be packaged in the gig bag and well protected inside a box.

  4. There's actually a category for left handed guitars you can browse to, but not often people will use bass guitars instead and eBay charges extra for an additional category. I just use left bass, this should also match lefty bass. I am shocked and saddened that other people are searching too! You guys all stop and I will distribute the lefties fairly :P

  5. Just taken delivery of an Ashdown LB112 cab from MB1. As shonks feedback immediately above - excellent communication and updates, item was packed so well it was difficult to extract it! Condition was perfect. Thanks Martin!

  6. Decided to sell my MIM Fender Jazz in sunburst with rosewood fingerboard. I think it's a 2010 model, based on the S/N. I have two MIM Jazz basses and need to sell one to fund a new acquisition. I prefer the colour of the other one, so this is the one to go. It's in very good condition. The faults I can find are:

Small dink at the bottom of the lower horn, faces downwards

Light scuffing to the lacquer at the bottom of the bass, near the strap button

A couple of little nicks in the headstock
All of these are visible in the photos. Other than these, it's very nice indeed. It's fitted with nearly new round wound strings, can't remember the brand - I change strings on my basses all the time and forget to keep a note of which bass has which strings. I think they're probably Fender strings, but I can't swear to it

I think it has an Alder body (I gather MIMs post 2004 all do...), the wood grain on the body is quite nice, though it doesn't show brilliantly on the photos except the upright one. The grain of the rosewood fingerboard is very nice, as hopefully you can see. There is a small amount of fretwear. You can see it if you look carefully, but I can't get it to show on a photo.

I'm based in Peterborough. The price is £300 including gig bag. I'd prefer to sell it face-to-face, better that a prospective owner gets to try the bass. But I will post it if necessary, buyer to pay the costs.

  7. I sold my Aguilar DB 115 to Andy. Perfectly smooth transaction, he came to collect, we had a nice chat and he let me have a go on his ACG 6 string (we're both lefties). Cheers Andy!

  8. I have the iRig and it's a bit noisy. I use it with amplitube mainly on the iPad, with the 8 track recorder add-on. The main, killer, problem with is is that sound leaks. My main usage of it is to record myself playing over a song from my library. I transpose the underlying song into one track, then record myself on another. When I listen back, the backing track is audible on my recording track. I've read of problems relating to sound leaking between the input and output, so I assume it's that. I think the iRig is suitable if you're looking for a cheap adapter and don't want to record other tracks, or don't care about them bleeding together.

Think I'll get the apogee jam.
