Not wanting to be a kill-joy, but isn't this a Rick*backer add by stealth?
Shouldn't you be paying your £20 to start this thread?
perhaps i found a loop hole unintentionally
but thanks everyone for your help -

The hobo's round here are always looking for firewood! (only joking).
Gumtree is a good call and also have a word with your local music shops.

Tried the local shop ....he said firewood too
plenty say gumtree like you , so may give that a go , thanks for the reply -
cheers Tommorichards and Donnyboy for you suggestions

Well, you chose to not ask a mod beforehand, and the question is really quite lame and unnecessary, so ...
Problem ? -

Not sure if this is breaking the rules regarding Rickenbacker sales ,so if it is mods please delete , with appologies upfront
But i was wondering where the best place is to sell without going down the ebay route , ive never sold on there and im a bit wary about putting one on there , when you hear about so many problems or scams
what do other sellers do on here now about selling ?
is there another forum i could try ?
once again if this breaking rules i appologise -
on the mag 300 head/combo theres no little screws around the vu meter dial , when i take the amp out of its casing , theres no access to the vu meter cuz a circiut board is in the way
anyone had to replace a bulb on one of these ? -
We were discussing pub gigs at rehearsal last night , and how many pubs over the years have now got an extension on a fri & sat night when bands play , intead of finishing at 11 , its now midnight ,and in some cases 1 o'clock , but they still want you to start at 9 . it would be nice to say minimum £350 per gig at these places instead of the standard £200/250 before they acheived their extended hours , but you know that some of these venues have been strugglin financially themselves , so see it as an opportunity to make more over the bar at our expence
we dont want to see pubs closing down as there have been too many already, so
Do you knock these places on the head ? if you do this someone else would play there so you lose out
i understand its not about the money ,as we all enjoy playing , but on the other hand a fair days pay for a fair days work ( or evening as the case may be )
we all enjoy a bit of extra cash , but to me its got too cut throat now , and has taken some of the enjoyment out of playing
anyone else feel the same ? -

Hi just a hello from the south coast ,even though ive owned a computer ,i never really thought about joining things like this , i hope it opens up a new 'world' to me , especially when 'eastenders & corrie' are on the box .....give me something to do !!!
Anyway , ive been playing for 'cough' a few [s]decades [/s]years now and ive recently (a week ago) became a proud parent to a Geddy Lee jazz , i also have a Ricky 4003 , and an Ibanez soundgear !!! All this goes through , a TC Electronic rig ,450 head , and TC cabs
It all looks very nice ,and i wished i played as well as it looks ........but i enjoy it , and thats what its about eh?.....
Influences ....well ......Geddy Lee , but plenty more as i've got older , but he's to blame for upsetting the neighbours
