  1. In my early 50’s but 25 in my head, Currently in an originals band but we don’t play that consistently so im potentially interested in forming or joining a covers band to fuel my enthusiasm.

Not as good as i used to be but still got that muscle memory. Played various styles over the years mostly on the heavier / Classic Rock style and am open to ideas.
In an ideal world I’d join or form...

    1. A 70’s funk disco band where the pub got up and danced all night + Groovejet and spiller etc.

    2. An AC/DC style covers band with 80% Bon Scott songs plus other classic Rock like Purple, Zep Metallica RATM (earlier) RHCP.

    3. General mix inc the above plus some UK Indie even ?

No Country, Thrash or Ed Sheeren

  3. Thats a dead ringer for one i owned 20 something years back only mine was the earlier GP11 version. Hell of an amp, had some weight to it too.

Hope you got the 4x10 and single 15 to go with it

  4. Funny, I was just nosing around when this ad caught my eye and i realised i am currently wearing a Fighting Cocks T Shirt that i bought behind the bar when we gigged there with my then Band Vincent sometime around 2006. Ah just found a pic, does it still look like this ? Good venue

  5. Any interest in the P Bass in my pics ? it's got the extra Jazz pup, both are EMG's the whole thing was worked on by Martin at the Gallery a while back including a new high mass bridge, new electronics with loads of control, active, new battery compartment in the back, back of the neck cleaned and sanded, new tort scratchplate, over £350 of work alone ! I've owned it since around 1990. Plays like a dream. hmm i may have talked myself out of this.

  6. Tough decision but I have decided to sell my Fender Jazz American deluxe, I think £950 is a fair price, no trades sorry.

It is exactly 2 years to the day since i bought it brand new and has been played by me only.

The bass is in excellent condition, i have played it a fair bit but not gigged it much at all. I cannot find any worthwhile marks on the bass bar some light scratching on the scratchplate and the fingerprints you will see in the recent pics.

I went for the Deluxe version as i wanted an active / passive bass and this was perfect for my needs. I wanted the 3 band eq specifically for the mid control which makes a big
difference to the range of sounds on option in my opinion.

Some of the extras the deluxe has over other Jazz's are the passive/active electronics with excellent (and powerful) N3 pickups, 3 band eq, Lightweight closed tuners, High mass bridge, string through body or bridge, chamfer at the heel for easier access to higher frets. With this bass the pickup selector is just that, you select the neck, bridge or both pickups, no blending. I thought I'd mention that as i found it difficult to find that out before I bought it.

It will come with the original Fender hard case and all paperwork as well as the truss rod adjuster and keys for the case.

I have just seen one for sale brand new in Denmark street for £1495.00

Would prefer collection or could possibly meet within the London area.

    I'd prefer to give you guys first refusal before resorting[attachment=150025:Fender_Jazz_bass_American Deluxe_02 G.jpg][attachment=150026:Fender_Jazz_bass_American Deluxe_09 G.jpg][attachment=150027:Fender_Jazz_bass_American Deluxe_12 G.jpg] to fleabay.

I have plenty of pics if you want more emailing.

    Thanks

    J
