i think its important that you take pride in your appearance- if you can go out and say 'i look the nuts' then thats all that matters. we all have different opinions on clothes

im at a disadvantage that im a singer with an ian brown haircut and massive eyebrow(s), and a certain manc frontman jumped on my look 15 years before me

however, our bassist turns up in football shirts to every gig which irritates me so much.

a lot of the kids bands that play all look the same, and i know of a few who have been signed, because they have the look, somecant play live.

as regards with the where to look, i was playing in ipswich, and some kid in the front was dancing really weirdly, like he was taking the piss. hard to explain really, but something wasnt right! i spent about two songs eyeballing him, and was getting really wound up, so much so at the end of the set i threw the mie down and stormed off.

he came up to us about ten minutes after, turns out he were, well a bit 'special'!!!!!

This may be a silly question, but on my ibanez, i have two volume controls, now im assuming that one is for the bridge p up and one is for the neck p up. Is there a reason for this, arent they technically near enought the same sound?

I have been reliably informed that any lads who may have an insulation resistance tester, there is a gadget availible now which you can plug in, and this transforms it into a Pat tester, 30 quid kew technik job

Will report back when i know more, but may save someone several hundred pounds.

you ever been to the half moon? its not a great venue if im honest. club blub in stortford is better
hertford marquee is a class little venue,

the portland arms, and man on the moon are worth playing in cambridge. not sure if you have played them

the twist in colchester is a very good venue

the bricklayers arms in norwich isnt too bad, as is the boozer down the road(cant remember the name)

i am currently in the market to buy a pat tester, but dont know what to go for in terms of martindale, megger kew technik etc etc, what do you lot use, and recommend?

very unusual im not wearing a lacoste polo, regardless of what im doing. and always a decent pair of adidas, orf possibly puma clyde or diadora borg elite if im feeling fruity.

alright, new member here.

only bass i play is an alba - looks a fender copy.

dont know a great deal about basses, only been playing a few months but do love playing it.

musical interests are the stone roses, ocs, the view etc etc

support cambridge united

alright, am new on here. im a new player, and fancied building a bass of my own. Have many of you done it before?

not too bothered regarding tools as im in the building trade, so may end up getting a mate to do the woodwork etc.

is it worth the hassle, and what is a good budget to have etc.
