Precision

Up for sale is my Ibanez SR305E 5 string bass in Cerulean Aura Burst. Bought new five months ago as an introduction to 5 strings and I love them. Only selling due to upgrade. Immaculate condition. 24 frets. Active circuitry. Very light at only 8.2 lbs. First to see will buy. Collection Washington, Tyne & Wear (sorry I am unable to post). Thanks for looking.

Back when I was a design manager in consumer electronics, one my biggest gripes was my purchasing colleagues thinking there was always pennies to be saved on screws. They'd buy the cheapest they could find that, apparently, met the design spec. They'd be made out of the softest metal known and they'd go rusty almost while you were looking at them. Seems Fender have a not dissimilar problem.

To be fair to Fender, its me not them. I sweat a bit when I'm gigging, and whilst I look after my guitars and clen them after every gig, the screws always seem to take a hit! 😊

Selling my 2004 USA Fender AVRI '75 Jazz. In natural with bound neck, rosewood fretboard and block markers. Just had a pro set up and a fresh set of D'Addario NYXLs put on. In excellent condition with a few small age related marks but nothing nasty. Sounds absolutely huge and a delight to play. Complete with original hardcase and all case candy/accessories. 1995 Fender Fotoflame Made In Japan Jazz. Stunning finish. Rosewood fretboard. Just professionally set up with a fresh set of D'Addario NYXLs. Plays wonderfully and very light at 8.4lbs. There are some marks and small dings but nothing nasty and it's in really good condition for a 27 years old instrument. Collection only, Washington, Tyne & Wear. USA Fender Professional II Precision. Absolutely immaculate. Played a handful of times and never left the house. Still has plastic film on scratchplate. With hardcase, all documentation and certificate. Incredibly light at 8.2lbs. Set up perfectly and plays like the proverbial dream. £1250. No trades or offers. Epiphone Rivoli in striking sunburst. Made in 1999. In exceptional condition with original hardcase. Plays wonderfully with a deep throaty tone. Very little fretwear and neck smooth and straight as a die. The only issue is the baritone button doesn't function - it was like this when I purchased it but the default setting is just deep and delightful. Any trial or inspection. No trades please and must be collection only from Newcastle.

In response to you question Dan, it is indeed a string through design with the USA bridge (which also allows conventional stringing to the front of the body)

Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass in Sunburst. Made for 2 years only and discontinued. Owned from new and been out of the case a handful of times in the house only. Plastic film still on scratchplate and pick-up. Immaculate bar a small ding on the body that was there at the shop when I bought it. Rosewood neck with block markers. Active / Passive controls.
