  1. Hi

I have been playing bass reguarly for 30 years and have been recently diagnosed with Focal Hand Dystonia. It affects my right hand in that I find my thumb and index finger increasingly difficult to control. They curl inwards towards the palm.

I was wondering if any of you guys / girls had been unfortunate enough to contract this condition?

    Cheers

I remember you but do you remember me?
    Jim[/quote]

Yep Daf that's me. It's been a long time! Still got the Wal but the Trace went. The Eden Metro was sold but I can't see how to get back into the message to amend the heading :-O

I've been playing in various bands over the years. I'm now in a Red Hot Chili Tribute band which is fun. Not really a fan but it's fun stuff to play live and I've played with the guitarist and drummer for years, so it's a kind of social thing as well.

Walter is still living in his bedroom and not working ...ever :-)

Aother person you may remember, Gareth Hill? We have a band together playing instrumental music. We're hoping to get our first CD out the early part of next year. It's been a long time coming HA HA!.

Anyway, what have you been up to? You've got a mighty impressive arsenal there. Incidently, my home email is [email protected].

    Cheers

  3. Hi

I have an eden metro combo which appears to have developed a fault. The channel lights turn off and the amp cuts out. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes I get the fault, regardless of how long it's been on.

Has anyone had a similiar problem? Could it be the valve going altough it doesn't sound funny when it's working.

    Any assistance gratefully recieved.

    Cheers

  4. Hello there

I'm Jim from South Wales. I've been playing for quite a while now on an amateur basis.

I'm currently in three bands, The Dougs which is an instrumental band, Ezra a progressive rock outfit and the Red Not Chili Peppers - yes it's a tribute act :  :)

The forum looks really good and I'm looking forward to being a part of it and making some new friends.

    Cheers

    Jim
