  1. Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 with Aguilar Bag

Great condition, with odd mark here and there but it is barely used.

    Comes with power cable.

Would prefer collection or meet up from Staffs / Midlands area but can post for an extra £5.

    Any questions are welcome.

    Thanks for looking.TH500.thumb.jpeg.1c56423d6bc2b2dbd25e9564239a10df.jpeg

  2. Barefaced Super Compact Gen 3, with Barefaced Cover

Now £450 - final bump for local sale!

Hardly used, bought one previously from a typically talented & good-looking fellow bass chatter and then decided I needed another one.

Obviously, this was overkill and subsequently, I was never allowed to use both together by any band I played with.

Gigged possibly 2 or 3 times as a result, it's been doing nothing for a couple of years and as I won't be playing Madison Sq Garden anytime soon, has to go.

Now looking for a straight sale, so slight price drop.

Not really able to ship but could do meet up / try out, happy to answer any questions.

Apologies for the scruffiness of my garden.

    Thanks for looking!

  3. Final price drop before i start using them as furniture....£510

One of the covers has some stitching that’s has come loose on the inside, easy fixed if you have the skills or tools. However, I’m as good at handicraft as I am at bass playing so one last price drop, honest bump…

Two Vanderkley EXT 112's with V'kley covers, been in storage for quite some time.

Both work perfectly, somewhat louder than i recall.

This is some oxidation around various screws on these, no idea how this has come about and the marks on the carpeting is actually a very recent attempt to make sure there's nothing living in the material (Anyone ever worry about this?!), i used an organic shampoo product and the overall condition of it is really good given how prone it can be to pulls and bobbles, marks i expect will fade away to nothing.

The covers are in good condition, one has a pull on the front but not tears, holes or rips.

I am currently gigless so can't really justify hanging on to these, they sound huge on their own so two would probably cope with anything.

You could give them a touch more attention or just use as they are, hence the lowly price for these fantastic quality cabs.

Not looking to ship so hoping for a collection or meet up scenario with some extra for fuel, could organise a trial run out too of course.

Will split also but obviously prefer to sell as pair. Might be interested in a trade for something Aguilar SL related.

Questions welcome, thanks for looking! Apologies for the state of the garden....

  4. Had the pleasure of buying a Mustang JMJ from @Brucegill, loads of detail & photos, communication was great.

Can’t recommend highly enough, thanks once again. 👍🏼

  5. Fender Jazz V - Surf Peal inc. Fender gig bag - now £750

Never gigged or been played for any length of time, still has plastic covering on pup's & pickguard(although there may be a scratch or something on it, can't quite make it out).

Noiseless pickups, passive / active switch, sounds great (when it has been plugged in).

They have discontinued this line, sticker on back of headstock says 'special edition', as does another stating '75 years'.

Gig bag is also new - so new that even the zips still work....if you know, you know...

Love the colour but i just haven't really taken to it.

Don't have the original box, would be prepared to look at how it could be shipped but obviously would prefer collection or travel / meet up etc.

Can also accommodate if you want to play and see how it sits with you.

Would entertain a trade for something 4 string & Fender road worn, a jazz or JMJ Mustang perhaps.

All the details & specs are in the link, any questions welcome.

  6. For Sale - Fender Precision Classic Series 50's Bass

In excellent overall condition, has one blemish next to bridge where previous owner attempted to drill holes for bridge cover - I will include this cover in sale but should be an easy fix for someone who has some knowledge about finishes (must be hundreds of them on here!).

Came to me with tort pickguard, also neck plate is new with 'F' stamp which i don't recall these having previously.

Body, neck, tuners are in perfect condition otherwise, currently has Fender flats on it, again this were fitted when it arrived. Have another set in the case that are used and will also throw these in.

Also comes with Fender polyfoam case, which looks amazing and is in great condition complete with keys for locking.

Not look for trades as i am currently bandless with very little on the horizon!

Bass looks fantastic, sounds even better but due to my having the hands of an elf (no offence to any bass elves that may be reading this), my dreams of being a Poundshop Pino are on hold until i can find a bass with a slim neck my hands and ulnar can work with. Would be open to a try out, current rules permitting and can ship or arrange collection or meet within 30 mile radius of Rugeley, Staffordshire.

Price is for collected or possible meet half-way or to be negotiated. Would have to look at a decent quote for delivery but open to ideas or negotiation.

Any questions welcome, thanks for looking.

  7. Chewie - it’s got a wide range and you can put some aggression in wth the drive if you can get the settings right but as Dannybuoy alluded, it can go the other way too (I’m actually playing classic soul stuff currently). I do find it has a particular tone though, had occasions where I haven’t got the room right & as a result, had it sound a bit nasal to me.

    Thanks!

  8. Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 plus Aguilar carry bag - Now at a *bargain* £450

    Still available.....!

In great condition, never been pushed - seems to be a lot louder than 500 to be honest.

Zip on bag is a bit temperamental but is all still in good condition.

Fancy a bit of a change so looking to move it on.

Would prefer collection from Lichfield, Staffordshire but happy to talk about p&p if need be.

    Questions welcome!

    Thanks for looking.

  9. I have no wish to go back to dragging hefty equipment at midnight through car parks & late night disco's so hoping it can be sorted out.
There are a large number of variables in the problem and i don't discount myself from any of it - something has to give in terms of sound quality when you play at a particular level anyhow, it's just so frustrating.
    Maybe i will just buy a bass synth ! .
Only joking....thanks for the input everyone.

  10. One band does use the P.A - there are many issues there in terms of other people's volume tbh but it really comes to the fore with the smaller band.
I have had them on chairs, beer crates, spaced apart...depending on how much room you end up with and that's where the traveller win's out, when you can stack up and save footprint in the band environment.
Thinking about borrowing something a little more generic for my next gig to see if something like an ABM 500 gives me something a bit more honest.
