I'm looking for an amp that is big enough for small venues that has seperate circuits for active and passive basses. The akward part is that it must have a headphone socket and an auxilliary in socket would also be good.
At the minute I have the early Ashdown 5/15 mini rig which is not up to the job and to be honest the sound is muddy with an active bass.
I think I'm searching for the holy grail here but I do not have room for two amps.
Anyhelp gratefully received. -

These looked like great basses , but only a handful were ever made in the short time they were available , from what I understand .
Why the short time, was it limited take up or a limited production run....I would still like to get my hands on one. -

...And even if you buy a bass similar to one of Lee's, there's not much chance that it's going to make you sound like him.
I couldn't even look like him! -

From an interview with Lee Sklar:

Thanks for that, guess I'm not going to find one of them on the High Street....Shame.

That's Leland Sklar. I'm not sure of the bass but the guy is awesome!

Can anyone tell me what this bass is.

Hi Everyone
Greetings from Tyneside.
I first played Bass more years ago than I care to remember until life got in the way.
Suddenly I have three basses:

MIM 60's Classic Jazz

Hofner Icon

Squier Vintage Modified Jazz
I had issues with the Squier, there sorted now, the other two are flawless.
I have two amps, a Fender Rumble and my pride and joy the latest Five Fifteen MiniRig. which has more than enough about it to seriously upset wor lass, (my wife for the uneducated) she now has ear plugs!
For many years I wanted to start again but it was advice from a Doctor around 14 months ago that became the catalyst. Anyway I think my days of playing live are gone now especially as I am more than a little rusty but hey never say never and now I'm more than happy with a good backing track and my bass.
Best Wishes to all
Barry

I'd have a look at the Markbass Mini CMD 121P.

Thanks for that but to be honest its more than I wanted to spend. I've been looking at the Fender Rumble series today and they look like they might be the answer.
