Looking really lovely Andy! With regard to finishing, will the neck and fretboard still be a tru-oil slurry or is it all getting the osmo treatment?
-
That's looking really lovely!

To quote the late Fred Dibnah, technology doesn't make things better, it just makes them cheaper and quicker.
You can keep your CNC machine...

this all looks terribly fiddly...

I'm astounded that no-one's gone in for this - I'm not in the locality (and I'm a duffer) but surely there must be some Brum bassists who fancy this????
-
My first bass was a used Washburn Force 4, which set me back more than £125 back in the day and I loved it!! So its a project but look at it !!! Red binding for £125!!! someone buy it!!!!

stunning job as ever Andy

Think you might have a name for the build there Andy - Iris. Nice observation by Pea Turgh.
-
As a tele man myself, l have to say that I absolutely love it!!!!
-
Wow!! This is looking superb Andy. Fabulous choice of timbers and I love the accent line between the top and core wood.
-
mmm...pretty woods....
-
I'm really liking this as its shows that you can buy a kit for a sensible amount of money and with some time and patience, (neither of which I am blessed with), and turn it into something rather nice.

LOL - work mainly keep the builds coming!!!

Here we go...Just as Andy finishes the Greek's bass, along comes another stunner in the making to whet my appetite!!!
-
I've not really chipped in much during the build process, just watching from afar. I get the marmite looks of the bass but everyone who's posted on here is right about one thing, the level of work in this bass exceeds anything that you've done before. Its a fabulous piece of work and I can't wait to read what the Greek has to say about it!!

I like the way the surrounds for the luminlay and accent line come together as one - very classy!!
-
I've never played a T40 - they look an interesting instrument. its a nice collection you've got going there. I have to say your latest one is particularly nice. I'm a bit of a sucker for the natural body/rosewood fretboard combination!!
-
Very pretty
-
And its bank holiday weekend too - loads of time to get that lot done!!!!
-
Is that a different fretboard Andy? I ask because there are no slots in it and the top edge is now straight from end to end whereas in previous pictures it came out to meet the body
-
That's a super clean neck/body transition. Really impressed with this build. I keep looking at the bits of wood in my garage - probably best if they just remain bits of wood in my garage!!!
-
Hi-tech display unit that Andy - My wife has a couple of these - can you believe she hangs clothes from them???
-
That's a shame Andy - can't believe that something specifically designed to do an accurate job turns out to be inaccurate!!! Hopefully you will get something sorted out.
-
Wowzers!! That really is superb - fabulous work!!
Finished Pics! A build for our own Len_derby

I like the way the knobs blend in - looks like there are none. How about using a darker wood for the main barrel of the knob so the player looking down can see them but for the onlooker, they are concealed?
