I have the fretless version of this....it is a truly great acoustic bass. It actually can be heard (!!!!) but the downside of that is it does have a big body but I'm now used to that. Good price too..... someone should buy this!

[*]Apologies, as I might be being a bit thick here, but are the original bridge, pickups and scratch plate being offered in the package as well as the parts currently fitted to the bass in the picture?

Is this still available or did it go on eBay?

The bottom picture is a custom with mahogany body, with a walnut sandwich and a burl maple top, birds eye neck and 'gold' hardware. Standard Sandberg humbuckers with coil taps and a three band Glock EQ. It is, without out doubt, the best Bass I have ever played in 45 years of playing. the expression "it plays like butter" was invented by this bass!!

I do wish folk would stop banging on about how great Sandbergs are....(the Fender Benders might find out and start buying them, pushing the price up beyond us poor mortals!!)

Beautiful bass and just the sort of p bass I'm searching for. Excuse my ignorance but is it a 'Crafted in Japan' guitar?
Thanks

Would you be interested in cash and could you get the bass to the UK for a try-out before buying? Finally, do you know why the finish on the headstock is so crazed?

Just acquired a Gez Benz Neox 2x12. Lightweight, with wheels, and knocks my mark Bass 6x10 out of the water. It's clean, punchy and 'F' loud!

Been playing over 40 years and I have two Sandbergs........they are both brilliant. Having owned a variety Fenders and a vintage Ricky, Sandbergs are a secret treasure and are one of the best guitars around, imho. Buy one now while they are still not too popular and they are a bargain second hand.
My JM4 is about 15 years old and I also have a Custom which is only 3 years old. Both beautifully built and with active circuits that give any tone you need. I think most Sandbergs seem to have a similar profile neck, about 39mm at the nut and a very slim D profile....we're talking Ricky slim here. I think they feel great and my custom is the easiest bass to play, ever!
You also get great service from the company. I wanted a new scratch plate for my JM4, just coz I fancied a change of colour. As it was quite old the factory wanted to make sure they got a good match so they custom copied my old scratch plate and sent me a new one in two weeks for £32, incl postage from Germany ...I think that is service beyond expectations.
Do you get the feeling that I like them?!?!?!?!
