Not having any recording experience (bedroom bass player), I'd have to say: You are the expert on bass sound, so you should at least have some say on how the product sounds in terms of bass. You don't need to be elitist about it, but make clear what you want.

I'd never say I'm better than another musician, then again I have no self-respect

Wasn't one song in general, but the Specials and some of Primus' stuff got me interested in playing the bass.

I switched to flats several days ago, don't really remember the name, but I think I should have payed some more moneys . I really miss the brightness, but not the squeaking. My question to you guys is, whether there are any flatwounds that can compete with roundwounds for brightness, or if I need to find my old strings in [url="http://www.bikester.co.uk"][color="#000000"]the cycle bin[/color][/url].
