i'd use my pod but as i've not used it live yet its not really an option. lol
Hopefully get to break it in properly though. -
Nice bass, & i don't normally go for the angular modern basses.
-
i want one, is there a badass bridge that accepts through body strings??
-
in all my years as a semi incompetant bass player i've never come across a set of strings so crap. If it wasn't for Halo 3 next week i'd be buying a shed load of new strings for both my basses. Just hope these other strings are fine & that my p bass sounds like a monster with its new pups & Badass II bridge.
Yeah i'm gonna have to try some of the ernie ball strings. -
What an absolute bag of sh*te, i should have realised that the £10 price tag was dodgy.
These strings are horrible, i mean seriously, 2 out of the 4 strings were dull like they had already been used, 1 was totally dead & the D string sounded fantastic.
I have a pack of Stealth strings ready go go on my P-bass once i've fitted my new SPB-3 Pups. I hope those arn't shocking or i'll have wasted £20 on crappy strings.
Wish i had forked out for a set of elites. -
Thats how i aquired my Zune, was having a sh*tty week, got very drunk & woke up the next day with an order confermation. Not looked back since. (even though the zune isn't a bass). Seen a few basses i like the look of recently, but can't really afford it, just glad my Seymour Duncans & my Badass II have turned up from the US.

i don't like any of those bands, but i do like Waricks, back in the day i wanted a Thumb also one of my fave bassists plays Waricks (P-nut from 311)
You're likely to find that there'll not be a bad word said about Peavey gear... no-one will probably wax lyrical about it either but it is cracking value and about as robust as they come!
My Ex guitarist used to slag off my peavey left right & center cause its not Ampeg, but he was a complete vintage goon. Everything he owned was vintage. He was very anal about it all.
He couldn't understand why i'd want a 500watt Peavey when i could get a 100watt Ampeg Solid State. Then again, maybe that was just me missing the point. Not like i use the Peavey pre-amp anyway. -
Here are some god awful pics of me & my exband Lowsignal playing at the Fiddlers Elbow in Peterborough.

Welcome to basschat, hope you enjoy your stay
That reminds me of the chrome bass, guitar and drums in Jane's Addiction's 'Just Because' video (youtube)
I always thought they were highly polished to get that look, i didn't think they where chrome though.
Anyway, love the look of that bass, its something i'd have if i had the cash floating about. -
i've always wanted an ATK, but unfortunatly never really got round to getting one.
Maybe one day. -
Ant, i like your band, sound v unusual.
But i like it alot. -
balanced is only used for recording??
I've not done any recording in years, but couldn't you just di up the live & record that way?? -
I have the bass pod xt & short board,
now is it really worth me buying the xt live & selling off my pod & shortboard?
Been thinking about it as it would save me a bit of space.
Are there any limitations with the XT live?? -
so basically your bass is what my bass should be like once my parts have arrived,
I've ordered the Badass II bridge & those SD Quater Pound pickups.
Only difference is my bass is in sunburst. Can't wait -
Hey Theo,
Hope you enjoy your stay -
ps, I think the one armed drummer from Def Leppard plays a better beat than Meg White...
I think a drummer with no limbs could play better then her.
I can't play drums but could probably pull off what she plays.
To me it always seems very clumsey, out of time. It really annoys me.
Btw i don't see why the 4 string bass should die. Most of the time (for example with dodgy metal bands) most players just use the 5th string as a low end rumble & nothing more. I'm not saying the 5th string is useless just useless to some people. If that makes any sence at all. Right i'm confused.
PS, yeah i am a 4 string player, & i don't think i'll ever use 5 strings. -
Rush - YYZ
Not an intermediate song, but what a bassline.

My ex-guitarist used to love EHX,
I have to admit the small stone is a fantastic pedal, the only thing i wasn't so keen about 'em was the fact EHX pedals are sooooooooooo big. But the nano series is a great idea. -
i'm gonna bookmark that webby, prices seem pertty good.

The basses i've had are :-
1) Hohner 3/4 scale mini bass
2) Hohner Steineburger Copy Active Bass
3) MIJ Fender 1962 Reissue Precision *
4) 1992 Rickenbacker 4003 *
* basses i still have & use. -
Its all good, i don't like the WS so if more people want to sound as bad as them then go ahead, i won't waste my money on their music.
i have an 86/87 mij p with badd ass 2 and sd bassline qp in it. its the best fender i've had.
if i was you i'd go for an 80's one.
I've just ordered Some SD Quater Pound pickups & a Badass II bridge for my MIJ P-bass 1962 all for the tidy sum of £70.
now all i need is to find out how to set up my basses cause the action is well off.
Japnese Fender P 57 alike (85/86 )

don't get offended, but that bass scares me, it looks like some bugger has squeezed 5 strings onto a 4 string. other then the weird amount of strings it looks nice & fuzzy. Lol. i wish i wasn't so in the red
