Surely Joe Dart has to be Musicman's best selling artist?
He's sold out 3 rubs of full fat USA models at tip end price tags now he's made another £250,000 (roughly based on average of £400 for each bass) in less than 12 hours.
That's a mad amount of money and units to move for very simple basses.
Love or hate their music, Jack Stratton really has figured out marketing to musicians

It's cheap, but comes out at £500+ after shipping and tax

+ shipping + vat + duty. About £520 total.
Yeah not quite as much of a bargain as I first thought. Still, I think probably a fair price given the name attached

£326 is an absolute bargain

And Ashdown have put up a video now.

Hmm, now I don't feel so confident saying that the PMT video was entirely the fault of Dagan. It sounds better here, but still has the "I'm playing through my friends broken Carlsbro amp" sound. **edit** I take that back, I've just had a watch again of the Ashdown video and I don't think it sounds bad, just not my go-to drive/overdrive sound **edit** Maybe it's simply not my sort of drive.

I had an audition with a band who's singer had come from musical theatre and wanted to branch out into function gigs.
I have never met anyone more musically oblivious. Every song required MJ style ad-libs, counted us in with completely arbitrary speeds (and he had to count us in, couldn't possibly let the drummer do it) to the extent he wants Higher Ground at about 250bpm and looked at me funny when I started it at the speed he counted in, and could not learn lyrics to save his life.
The cherry on top was playing "Suck My Kiss" where he rattled through the lyrics without taking a breath, somehow finishing the song before the band had gotten through the first chorus! He then proceeded to look at us like "what are you guys doing, the song is over?" as we continued through the rest of the song. Suffice to say I declined to join.

I probably haven't played my Warwick Thumb in a gig or studio setting for over 10 years. It was a gift from my late father, and my first professional instrument so I'm never getting rid of it; I just don't click with it like I used to

The LMII is one of my favourite amps of all time, pity I already have one! Glwts

I used to strive for that super clean sound, but discovered the best clean sound in the mix (for me) was slightly furry(?), or hairy. Slightly overdriven, but the distortion gets lost in the mix, so instead it just sounds warm and rounds off the edge of "sparkly clean".

I'd also point out that at 229 quid, I ain't buying that...
Given the absurd cost of pedals recently (see: Tech21 XB Driver @£599), that somehow doesn't feel too horrible

I have been planning on doing a full rig rundown on my Youtube channel for a while but I have a new bass on order and kind of want to wait until that arrives before I make the video, but I can quickly list my gear here if you are interested.
My main bass is a MIJ Geddy Lee Jazz bass from the mid-late 2000s, and I play that with Rotosound Swingbass66 strings. I have a Tech-21 GED-2112 Sansamp and a Trace Elliot GP12X (distorted sound and clean sound) which I blend to get the bass sound I want. Those go into a Palmer PDI-05 speaker simulator. It's a similar setup to what Geddy used in the Test for Echo era, which is my favourite tone of his.
Here is my Youtube for anyone interested: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4dlAoqg21GSUqNZX3GuA9w
The GED 2112 is an awesome bit of kit

Up for sale is my much loved DI 2112. For those unaware, essentially it is two SansAmp RPM preamps being run in parallel: the "Deep" and the "Drive". Deep is preset to a solid thick clean sound (with a saturation control), and the Drive section is the full RPM preamp. This then feeds 5 outputs (Deep XLR, Deep 1/4", Drive XLR, Drive 1/4", 1 pass through/tuner out) giving lots of routing options. You can also combine the two sections within the pedal via a little switch accessible through the battery compartment (it runs off of 2 x 9v, or an 18v DC input - not included).
It's a really versatile preamp, not just for Geddy style rush sounds - one of my favourite sounds is to set the Drive section to be "mids only" - kill the bass and treble, push the mids and the drive to give a really creamy mid-range, but still leaving the clarity from the Deep section.
There are also various switches (mute, pad etc.), but the best is the "tight" switch, which just turns the drive into a super focused sound.
So why am I selling given how good this is? I've moved to a Quad Cortex setup, and as much as I love running this in parallel I just can't justify it. I've also go another little one on the way, and I could do with the extra cash! It's in near perfect condition (other than the velcro on the bottom, which I can remove if you like), with the original box. I can post for an additional £10, or collection from East Grinstead.

I don't think I would recommend the Tonehammer DI for modern sounding DI; it's got quite a vintagey sound. Maybe look at the Aguilar AG preamp?

Billy Sheehan fan at all?
Mine is currently at my Mum's (Peavey Milestone III) where it has been for the last 15 years. Pulled all the frets out of it as soon as I heard Jaco; I should probably pick it up at some point (although the G string machinehead is knackered)

I absolutely adore this, I have a naked honey burst Stingray too, and this is calling to me...
