1. Hi guys

For sale is my GK 700RB bought from CrazyKiwi in 2007 and only used a handfull of times since. That being the case and seeing as I am so lazy I thought I'd nick his blurb from the original ad when I bought it.

This hasn't been gigged since I bought it, only used in my music room on low volumes and it is in pretty much 'as new' condition.

    Crazy's blog:

These amps are warm powerful, clean and very articulate, I've found they're one of the few amps I've ever played that will faithfully reproduce any bass I've plugged into it from a flatwound loaded Celinder p-bass all the way to an Alembic, Smiths and Celinder Jazz. The wedge shape means I can hear myself superbly on stage with it and I have NEVER lacked for volume in any pub/club gigging situation. Competes easily with guitarists and their 100w Fender Twins. If you have a warm sounding bass or use lots of effects then this is a great amp - nothing else I've tried my Smiths through sounded as good because of how the mids are preserved. If you have an aggressive sounding bass - say one with a graphite neck, you might find the high end is a little too much on a flat setting but you can turn down the tweeter independently! Heck there's even a control for boosting growl! Output is rated at 480w at 4ohm (with a 4ohm extension cab plugged in). Adding a 2x10 easily creates the best on stage sound I've ever experienced.

Here's some blurb from the site:

The Artist Series RB combos put full-featured Artist Series heads into professional combo enclosures in a variety of speaker options. All are designed for easy transport, ruggedness, compact size, tilt-back use, and to deliver the warm tone and output that leads to exceptional musical perfmance.

The 1001RB and 700RB are bi-amp units that come with horn-loaded enclosures and are able to drive horn-loaded cabinets from the Artist Series RBH cabinets. For pro-peromance in any size venue, the Artist Series combos provide the best in bass sound and are priced to rank among the best values in bass gear.

Also selling my Yamaha BB-NE2, have a look under basses for sale

  2. Ok guys.... I'm finally gonna do it.......

2006 Yamaha BB-NE2 black with gold hardware. Absolutely mint condition including unblemished original Yamaha hard case. I bought this from EBS_freak November 2007 and haven't realy given it the use it deserves. I have only played it a handfull of times and other than that it has just made my wall look very, very nice. I haven't picked it up now for at least 12 months but just checked it.and it's still in tune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been too busy with work for the past couple of years to play and when I can find the time I tend to reach for my trumpet! So have decided to give up on the stringed stuff and concentrate on blowing!!

Anyhoo........ Pics are attached, any inspection welcome and I will securely ship anywhere in the UK for £10.... or you can come and collect her.

I won't witter on about this, if you are interested you know what you are looking at, £2,000 plus worth of amazing, and gorgeous bass.

I'll also throw in £40 worth of Fender Platinum bass lead I just bought when I had a spurt of an idea I was going to start playing again.

You can get me on 01642 739090 or 07866 741098, pm me here or email [email protected]

I'm looking for £999 which I personally think is a bargain!

    More info at http://www.yamaha.com/guitars/products/pro...ODUCT%2C00.html

    Cheers
    Paul

or you can buy the white version here for £2,299!!!!!!! http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~Y...ite~ID~3446.asp

I'm going to put it on ebay in the next couple of days but will give BC members a shot first

Forgot to add, can take paypal payment if that helps but you'll need to cover the paypal charges, 3% if memory serves

  3. Can't believe this hasn't moved yet!!!! there's usually a fight over these things.......

This is still available £350 shipped. Brand new still in factory sealed box... I've gone down the combo route so I just don't really need it although I'm not gonna do endless re-lists on ebay and keep reducing the price! at £350 I'm down £20 and not willing to lose any more.

Can take Paypal if that helps, if any Basschatters want it just let me know... if it doesn't go soon I probably will just keep it in my studio so don't expect to find it a a knock down price the other side of Christmas!

There was no point taking photos as all you would see is a brown box with 'Avalon Design' written on the side. For more info go to:

    http://www.avalondesign.com/instrudi.html

All Avalon equipment is usable worldwide as it is switchable between 110 & 230v. This one comes already set at 230v with a UK plug... Oh yeahhh and it's also the brand new one with the blue switch lights rather than the amber ones shown on the web site.

    Jingle bells
    Paul!

  4. OK boys and girls, you will have no doubt heard of the Avalon U5 DI box / pre amp. For those that haven't and those that have details can be found here:

    <a href="http://www.avalondesign.com/instrudi.html" target="_blank">http://www.avalondesign.com/instrudi.html</a>

This is the DI of choice of some of the really big guns..... Geddy Lee & Nathan East to name but a couple. The unit is critically acclaimed by the entire industry as being the best you can get!!!! The U5 is also a superb pre-amp if you are running a pre/power set up!

I have one of these babies on it's way in from the states (as it's pro gear, all Avalon gear has switchable voltage so no silly 110v problems!) It's the latest model with the blue buttons and I expect it to be here within about 10 days!

Now I have agreed to relieve Warwickhunt of his Blackcat I don't need both..... ok I can't afford to keep both so the Avalon is up for sale.

I am going to take the customs hit on this when it arrives so I'll let it go for £330 plus £10 shipping. That's cost!

First come first served..... Obviously no cash to change hands until it is safely in the UK and ready to ship to the buyer.

No point posting any pics as a) I haven't got it to take pics of and :) it's brand new so just check out the website as above.

    Cheers
    Paul

  5.
Thank Paul - nice doing business with you! Enjoy!
You too Russ..... I will.....

It may well become 'available' again shortly though as I am having a MUCH harder time getting my head round that extra string than I thought I would!!!!! even when I just use it as an anchor for my thumb my brain just won't let my fingers go where they should!!!! I'm not going down without a fight though, I'm gonna give it 2 weeks before I decide for certain.

So boys and girls, keep an eye out, she maybe back up for sale. If anyone wants to register thier interest early just in case please feel free!! :)

I must say though Russ..... what a beautiful, beautiful instrument..... and the tone.......... never mind plays like butter the sound melts like it too... just awesome.... Why oh why don't they offer this in a 4 string!!!!!!??????? It really is the mutts!!!!!!

    Cheers
    Paul

  6. Reduced to £749

Status Stealth 4 string headed bass for sale. Through Neck Carbon Fibre & Graphite Monocoque Construction.

I am soooooo reluctant to part with this, I have my Alembic and this hanging on the wall.... I reach for this every time, it NEVER goes out of tune (totally bizarre.... haven't had to tune it for almost a year!!!! mind you it doesn't get gigged or any heavy use!) It is so easy to play it is ridiculous and is perfectly balanced. It looks almost black but it actually has the red tint, it is very subtle (and gorgeous) though.

I've made up my mind though.... due to Georges arrival I need to have 1 bass and that's going to be a 5 string.

It currently has a medium set of DR Black Beauties fitted just to finish off the 'stealth' look. I will include a brand new set of DR Hot Pinks too.

You get a lovely pre-amp and eq built in, Bass & Treble pots, blend and master volume and the usual Status 3 way mid cut/flat/boost switch

As you will see from the pictures it is in superb condition, no dents, scratches, chips or dings. No buckle rash.. just lovely!

Comes in it's (immaculate) original Status Hard case.

I will get this up on Ebay over the next few days but in the meantime felt I should offer it up to Basschatters. I am looking for [s]£800[/s] £749 and won't entertain offers below that.

    Cheers
    Paul

  7.
Not bad mate :), haven't gotten around to filling out those forms for Andy yet, but I WILL get it done when things have quietened down. Events just caught up with me prior to leaving for NZ, especially at work. I'll need to talk to you about that mortgage too when I get back.
No worries mate... you know I'll be here for you when you need me. Glad Andy got in touch, he'll look after you.

  8.
Hey Paul - welcome back! Why the big sell? Looking for something lighter? :)
Hi Steve.....

Baby's.... (which equates to cash and space!!!!) Need something a little more modest for a while, just until the nappy bills have gone away and the old 2nd household income comes back on stream..... I'll replace all of my boutique gear later when funds permit!! (really fancy a Yamaha TRB5P-II) and as I'm not actively gigging at the mo the extra space in the music room will make a huge difference!

Good to hear from you though. How's life treating you?

    Paul
