Hi,
Do you have any pics of the rear side? -
Thanks Skidder/Big Stu.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have any suggestions for instrumental breaks the bassist and drummer can play while waiting for the guitarist to re-tune his guitar during a gig?
I hate those long drawn out silences once the singer has stopped interacting with the crowd.
Cheers,

thanks for that. Very informative.
I've only ever used DR Hi Beams, and fancy a change. The link has helped me make my mind up! -
Sultans of Swing.
Still love it, and always drop into it when noodling -
WOW.
I've only just read this thread due to being off line so long.
I'm truley shocked to hear Si is no longer with us.
I met him before I emigrated when I bought his Peavey BAM combo while he visited Shuker for his next creation.
A more down to earth and honest guy you could never have met. We kept in touch when I moved and he was genuinley interested in how I was doing over here.
I will miss his posts on the forum.
RIP Si.

UPDATE
Bought the amp for a snip ($200 - ~ £100.00)
Took the amp to the guy who built it 15-20 years ago and he checked it over for $50 - ~£25.
Now have a lush valve amp to play with.
Result I reckon. -
Anyone know the thread size for the bolts that attach the driver to the cabinet?
Just bought an un-loaded cab and all the screws are missing.
what amp is it? gut feeling would be power valves on the way out.
It's a "Woogie" made by a guy here in Adelside.
Seller just mailed me to say it's fixed with a new fuse, but I'm gonna check it out. Will let it warm up for a while and see how it goes. -
Peavey BAM 210 (if you can find one)
I love mine. -
Hi,
I'm shopping for a valve amp, and went to see a second hand one today.
Amp played fine for a few seconds, allbeit through a crappy speaker, but the fuse blew.
The guy didn't have a replacement, so he's gonna replace it and I'll re-visit him later in the week.
Question is, I'm still interested in the amp, even if it has a fault, as the maker is local to me, but is there a common cause for blowing fuses on an amp?
I know naff all about the wizzardrey that goes on inside these things, but I don't think it's a basket case, as it played fine before the fuse blew (no buzzing, pops crackles or anything to suggest it was rubbish)
Cheers in advance. -
Bought mine from Silverfox Nik.
In a word, Superb! -
"nd gig at the Adleaide Fringe. Getting the hang of this Country and Western stuff!
We went down a storm. First time I've had 2 encores!!! -
Played a 20 minute "taster" set for the Adelaide Fringe. About 500 punters strolling by throughout. Was a real buzz.
Looking forward to the next 2 "real" gigs next weekend -
+1 on all the above.
He built my P Bass with Jazz neck and arranged to have it (sucessfully) shipped to Oz.
A crackin bloke I wish I'd met earlier in my playing career.

I've just had my plaster taken off after 4 weeks and came on here for any advice on how much movement I can expect to regain.
After reading your post I should just be thankful for what I've got.
Hope all works out for you mate. I feel your pain!
