  1. I got mine for €1250 (~£1100), 2007LE 4string in that blue sparkle colour. Basically it's a Stingray, and that's all I use it for. The different sounds are okay and interesting, but I find myself only using the bridge humbucker as it offers a maximum of punch.

I also have an ebony edition Stingray with an ebony fretboard, and I like it a lot. It looks great, but it is not quite as black as the product photos want to make you believe.

Yep, exactly. I found a Jetglo 4003 in Germany - not as beautiful as yours, but it will do. :) So now I'm going for that killer look with the black pickguard with white edges - if you're willing to sell the pickguard alone.

  3. 1. Forever I'd say. I guess that my first 'Ray had a new battery when I got it about five years ago. I've played it a lot in the first two years and it still runs on the same battery. Haven't played it much in the last three years though, but a few months ago it still worked.

    2. Absolutely. I prefer plucking a tad behind the pickup.

(Language question: do you use "a tad" in this context? I'm not a native speaker ..)

  4. Another new face around. I'm in my mid-twenties and I live in Germany, so you'll have to excuse any language mistakes. It's been a while since the last time I've participated in an English-speaking board.

As you can see from my avatar, I am a Music Man Stingray addict. The latest addition to my collection is an ebony edition 4-string whcih I play through a Markbass Little Mark II and a 2*10 cab made by a small German company.

Right now I'm looking for a nice Rickenbacker 4003 bass - perhaps I can find one here :) preferably Jetglo, as my girlfriend dislikes basses in reddish colours and probably won't give her permission for a Fireglo one, and I can't stand the look of natural wood.
