That's quite a nice bass. How much does the black sugar finish actually sparkle?
And Chris, in case the deal does not work out, could you drop me a short PM? That would be great. -
I got mine for €1250 (~£1100), 2007LE 4string in that blue sparkle colour. Basically it's a Stingray, and that's all I use it for. The different sounds are okay and interesting, but I find myself only using the bridge humbucker as it offers a maximum of punch.
I also have an ebony edition Stingray with an ebony fretboard, and I like it a lot. It looks great, but it is not quite as black as the product photos want to make you believe. -
bought a strap from pablo. no problems at all, good communication, really fast delivery to Germany, good price.
-
oh. too bad - for me
-
hmmm. would you ship the bass to Germany?
-
... uhm, ade, about that scratchplate ... would you be willing to sell it alone? If yes, I'm interested.
-
woah! I'd like to enter as well, please.
Hi Jo, You sorted with a RIC now and just want the scratchplate ?
Yep, exactly. I found a Jetglo 4003 in Germany - not as beautiful as yours, but it will do. So now I'm going for that killer look with the black pickguard with white edges - if you're willing to sell the pickguard alone. -
let's bump that.
BTW, ade, where did you get that beautiful 3ply black scratchplate? And would you be willing to sell it without the bass? -
Christ ... this looks better every time. If this is still here after Xmas I might have to put my money where my mouth is ...
yay thanks in advance! -
ehm. PM sent. I hope it arrived?

Let's not forget about ebony fretboards here.
-
I'm also new to this board, but I guess that also around here common suggestions in that price range are ibanez, yamaha, squier, preferably used?
or perhaps you can see whether an OLP stingray or a G&L tribute suits you. -
maybe £400
that should buy you a beautiful bass. welcome! -
1. Forever I'd say. I guess that my first 'Ray had a new battery when I got it about five years ago. I've played it a lot in the first two years and it still runs on the same battery. Haven't played it much in the last three years though, but a few months ago it still worked.
2. Absolutely. I prefer plucking a tad behind the pickup.
(Language question: do you use "a tad" in this context? I'm not a native speaker ..) -
Another new face around. I'm in my mid-twenties and I live in Germany, so you'll have to excuse any language mistakes. It's been a while since the last time I've participated in an English-speaking board.
As you can see from my avatar, I am a Music Man Stingray addict. The latest addition to my collection is an ebony edition 4-string whcih I play through a Markbass Little Mark II and a 2*10 cab made by a small German company.
Right now I'm looking for a nice Rickenbacker 4003 bass - perhaps I can find one here preferably Jetglo, as my girlfriend dislikes basses in reddish colours and probably won't give her permission for a Fireglo one, and I can't stand the look of natural wood.
