1.
My '77 Mustang (maple neck) is quite P-like. Surprisingly so. I normally play a P-bass btw.
swish, not too p-like i hope... edit; not that i dislike the P sound at all

is it the mustangs that are full scale and is it musicmasters that are 3/4 scale or something similar?

2. stunner, i was watching this on ebay just to see how much it wound up as.

when you get it youl have to describe to us how it sounds, maybe it sounds similar to a P but for some reason i cant see its being capable of such levels of thump...

very nice bass

3. was this ended early and relisted due to lack of bids? presumably has something to do with the lack of popeye bass players...

must sound collosal for something like a low B or a subharmonic though.

anyone want to play guess the power?

4. well its gotta come from you for whatever it is you play. what kind of look are you wanting for you band or just for this toy?

personally im a fan of black and white together, but if you want something a little more special one of those will work with any colour i can think of an never look bad IMO.

on the other hand you could bling it gangstar...

5. ive got the old viper 254, its a decent take on an SG shape IMO, and "agressive" would suite it best.
probably the heaviest bass ive owned in every sense, the volume pot is dodgy on it but any bass can have a fault i guess.

its currently sat on a my rack and its not been played since i aqquired my fender couple of months ago, but what i wanted in a bass changed.

anecdote aside, if its what you want then go fo' it. a couple of guitarists i know both have LTD's also and both are borderline too affectionate of them... :)

also the LTD surveyors look bargainous on GAK. last years models i guess

6. officially yum to the cabs, yeah mines the horizontal inputs also so sorted thanks.

i use just the one cab atm the JCM800 410, possibly get the bass 412 later if i can find it and afford it and have an impressive oldschool stack. the 410 wieghs a ton though i suppose thats to be expected from such a cab

ive not heard how these sound but if its half as good as the original one i want it, all retro-ie and different

anyone know any more on these like reviews or prices or somewhere i can play with one?

si

8. ive got one of these, as has been said they do look swish, and sounds ok to me for the bargainous price i bought it for.

i took it to a sort of messabout thing yesterday and it did ok, but i wouldnt like to put it up against a drummer.
it normally resides in the corner of my room as suitabe amp to doss about on and still looking swish and with the bit more presence than my other little amps
the fact that it splits up into 3 parts is ok if you stuck for boot space but a pain when you have to make several trips for something not so powerful.

im not sure of the leads ashdown provide either look abit flimsy for head-cab leads but theyv not posed a problem so far...

si

9. lemmy's rickenbacker, pickup switch, oak leaves, stars- yum

and its the only way i can look as cool as lemmy despite the lack of suitable facial hair...
