    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :)

    Thanks guys.

Refreshing to find a UK based forum.

On each of my guitars, I've been through at least 5 brands on string (9 on one of them) before I found one that suited each guitar.

So far, I've only had D'Adario's on my bass, but tis early days yet.

    keep checking it out :)[/quote]

Lack of money is the only thing that's stopping me. For now I'm using a Boss GT8 as a pre and a set of Logitech cheapo PC speakers (2.1 setup), its just about doing the job, until I get a job and am able to get a proper amp.

I've been finding this thing rather comfy, although having a bass or guitar on my right leg hurts like hell (did my knee in a while back).

  4. My first (and only) bass which I've only had a couple of months is an Epi Thunderbird. With a cheapo synthetic Ernie Ball strap, the neck dive was pretty bad, but I've now got a nice Levy's leather strap on it, which is rather wide and padded, so not much of an issue.

More of an issue is not having a bass amp, and even more of an issue is not having the money for a bass amp right now. Doesn't stop me loving my T'Bird though.

I am considering this same amp as my first bass amp (top of my list so far), so would be interested to see how you like it.

  6. Hello everybody, a new bassist here.

Been playing guitar for a few years (6, I think) and decided that I wanted to get a bass, mostly just to see if I was any good with a bass and for some more variety. So I bought an Epi Thunderbird (pics in a mo) off a housemate.

I am currently a (poor) student, living between North Wales (parents place) and Plymouth.

I've gotten bored with the various guitar forums I've been a member of, but happened across this one by chance when looking for info on bass amps (don't have one yet) and thought I'd poke my head round the door.
