1. Completely trustworthy buyer, recommended.

Hetransferred the money to my bank account before I'd even packed the cab up. Everything went as quickly and smoothly as you could want.

Glad you're enjoying the cab, she's a beauty!

  2. Mr Westie9 just bought my Octaver pedal in super-quick time, good communication and PayPal'ed me straight away, good buyer

  3. Hello again,

After mucking about with non-paying time-waster I'm back to BC offering up my lovely purple crazy quacking filter machine again for the bargain price of

I'd really prefer payment by PayPal or bank transfer because arranging to be in for cash collection is difficult at the moment (I'll dispatch after funds have cleared, you can trust me, I've got feedback here and you can check me out on eBay as well, I'm chaz_no_dave )

  4. Hi guys,

We have a regularly monthly gig at the O'Neill's in Clapham Common, SW London, but I'm on holiday and unable to do our next gig on Saturday April 21st.

It's a fun gig with an up-for-it crowd and the dosh is good for a pub gig at £100 each. Quite a late start at 10pm but that means it doesn't take up your whole day.

We play two sets of 45 minutes with a variety of indie (Killers / Kings of Leon), rock (Police / Lenny Kravitz / Guns n Roses) and a few modern covers (Adele / You Me at Six) thrown in for good measure.

There's nothing in there that's too strenuous but it's a regular gig so I need someone who can confidently come up with goods in my absence. There may of course be other gigs I can't make in the future, and I currently have no deps, so it would be really useful to find someone.

We're a three-piece and I sing a lot of BV's so if you can pitch in that's great but it's not a deal-breaker if not. If you'd like to hear what we sound like send me a message and I'll reply with a link.

Obviously I'll need to hear some recordings and a bit about you before I give anyone the green light. If you can do that then get in contact with me for a more complete set-list and more info if you think you fit the bill.

I'll be checking in here once a day from now until I find someone!

    Cheers

I have finally got round to selling my trusty Ashdown 4x10 having treated myself to a lovely Epifani 115. Also, according to my more aesthetically-sensitive half, It is not apparently an attractive feature of our guest room nor an interesting talking point.

I have gigged this a fair few times in mid-sized venues (200 - 400) with a Trace head and can vouch that it does the job and then some. A lot of punch and good low-end because of the deeper cabinet.

It is not light. But it is loud. And priced to sell!

Pick up from SW London is really the only option because no delivery man is going to want to lift this baby. And even if he did, the postage would probably be as much as the cab.

Photos are attached, it's in pretty good nick; the only thing you can't see is a small hole in the carpet on the underside an inch or so across.

    cheers

  6. Very trustworthy chap, accommodating and nice bloke. Gave me a fiver off for petrol when I picked up the cab he was selling.

(Btw, the Epifani 115 I bought from him is bowel-looseningly excellent and very tight. Never thought I'd be so pleased with a 1x15!)

    Cheers Nick!

  7. Well, I bought a trace elliot head about 6 months ago from Mr WHUFC and he was very accommodating. He let me rattle his lounge windows for a while and made me a cup of tea. Quick and communicative seller, top job.

I didn't realise how this feedback thread thing worked at the time, but better late than never!

  8. Just picked up a Boss ODB-3 from Dan. Item exactly as described and works fine. He gave a quick reply to my messages and he's a nice fella to do business with. It's what Basschat is here for. Best of luck with the drummers!

    cheers

  9. I agree that working things out by ear is the way to go. It helps develop your recognition and it will help hugely in improvising as you start to be able to play what you hear in head. The music, not the voices, obviously. :)

On the other hand, I find myself tabbing things out more and more as my repertoire grows, there are plenty of things that I work out and then don't need to play for another three months, and by that time I've forgotten some of the intricacies in various bits of the songs. It's useful to have a good reference copy for mugging up the night before.

So I tend to write my own tabs for my own use and not post them. Though now I obviously feel a bit of a selfish git. I just got round to doing 'For Once In My Life' all the way through so maybe I'll post that up here and see what people think.
