Btw - if you're heading down the Markbass route, recommend checking out the MB AC 121 Lite. One of the very few combos to deliver it's full 500W output through its own single 12" cab without recourse to a second cab. It has extended speaker excursion to handle the lows and on board LPF in the form of its VLE control.

Will give you a one stop shop solution with an all-in combo weight of around 36lbs and you can pick one up for £600 for a vgc used one.

All you need is one of these in your send and return loop or use it as a pre-amp into a good power amp and you can get the most incredible reggae and dub bass tone  you can imagine. Make sure you have decent cabs though. I have been using mine as a standalone preamp for a couple of years now with barefaced cabs including a Dubster2 !!!!!
