fumps Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 (edited) Hi guys Without boring you with my life story I'm looking to make my first pedal, i want to make a true bypass looper (It will be built into my pedal board) I want two effects loops & have the ability to choose which loop I want to use on the hop. obviously I want them with a stomp switch, Now I'm getting very confused with the terminology on this site (I did a google search all by myself ) can someone please offer advice as to which one I want please ? elephantgrey Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 (edited) that would be two of the True Bypass Loopers - No LED, DPDT Switch, under the True Bypass Loopers section (image shown below). to put two of these in one case, you have to basically make two of them up, but instead of the 1/4" Mono Jack ports in the middle, you would run the wire from where the TIP would be on the OUT from one "half" to where the TIP would go from the IN on the other, and the same for the SLV (sleeve). [/quote] If you're using a metal case, that provides all the ground connections. If you're using a non-conductor you'll need all the black wires. The circuit is a Fuzzrocious 'Broke Dick Peanut Gallery', or BDPG for short, a high-gain preamp, an awesome sounding overdrive! Next to be boxed up are a GGG Green Russian Muff with AMZ mids control mod, a Mad Beans Rat clone and a Mad Beans Gainster clone. Also working on a AMZ clean boost, and a Zvex Super Hard-On clone. [/quote] Increasing C2 is the best place to start for more low end. For the simplest blend I'd use the Buff'n'Blend. Take out the 2M2 pulldown resistor from the input of the Zen if you do this though, and attach the output of the Zen straight to lug 3 on the blend pot (no need for the trimpot). [/quote] I don't mind messing around with stuff. I was thinking of putting in a switch and keeping the original capacitor as an option. Maybe a 3 position switch. Here's a 'have you tried' type post! - You may have seen my posts about being interested in a compressor pedal with a dry blend. On having abit of a search round google, I see that B.Y.O.C have a design for a '5 knob compressor'. It's 'ratio' control actually sets the level of wet and dry mix - something that immediately interested me. Has anyone built one or owns one who would be willing to do a quicky review? - I like the idea of this pedal as it would allow (to some extent) further modding to perfection.
