Yes I thought I'd seen that one before - if you do a search on "Westone" in the UK on Gumtree you'll find that he's advertised it before. Now though he's omitted the fact that it's been de-fretted! That's OK if you want a fretless of course but I think I would probably mention that just in case?!

"This bass has been de-fretted, which means the fret seperators have been removed, giving it a nice jazzy fretless sound.
The bass has been independently valued at £80. It would be £150 if it had not been de-fretted, as it's a fiddly job re-fretting it which would suit someone with a workshop and the right tools."

really lush but somewhat overpriced Aria pro II thorsound bass

and another one, this time priced pretty reasonably thorsound bass

perhaps just in time for the movie?

the second one seems to say "well the neck is shagged, but im blaming it on the bridge, the truss rod works but im not going to put the effort into actually using it to fix the problem, so you'll just need to mess the bridge up as well and two things being messed up may cancel eachother out. Untill the weather changes and then your neck is foooked again"

or something along thoes lines

He seems to have some up now, but it's not looking good.

His assertion that cheap bridge can be added is a bit misleading as well. Arias like these have the bridge routed into the body, so with most bridges you're likely to see the rout unless it's filled. A better move would be to have the rout deepened a little.

Did Chevy change there name to Cheri in the early 90's?, I remember my Cheri Telecaster was a great guitar, well made and sounded great.

You'd probably get a better response if you posted this in the 'Items Wanted' Section. :)

How so?
There's a bunch of potterers who hang out in this thread in particular who might be able to help this guy out with a nice old Jap pup.... the reason why I recommended him do it in the first place. :)
