4X10 Cab or 1X15 cab to go with my old 4X10

Hi All, Bit of advise needed really.

I currently have a GK 4X10RB Cab and need to up the volume on my rig for live shows / tours etc.

My question is simply this: Is there going to be a huge difference between getting another 4X10 or getting a 1X15 on the bottom(which would actually save me £250!!!)

I play in a metal band and the sound I use is very much an attacking sound and not so much a boomy bottom end which I always assocaite with a big speaker.

Any advise???

I think that if you are after attack and punch another 410 would increase both more than the 115. You'd really have to try both rigs to know where the difference lies.

I dont know a place where they have the GK stuff in stock to try which makes it a guessing game a bit ?????

Just dont know whether £250 extra is going to make a HUGE difference if ive already got a 4X10 on the top.

If you like the sound as it is, but want louder, get another the same.

A 15 underneath will probably not do much more than a crate of equal height, cause 15s don't move as much air and will probably do less with the power.

If you like your tone, but want more volume, get another of the same.
