i'll remember best i can as my amp is at our rehersal place. i get a fairly nice zingy sound from mine and then tweek it around with the onboard eq on me bass.
Input set about 3 0clock
deep switch on, bright switch on eq on (obviously)
bass about 3oclockish
mid bass 2oclock
mid half1
high mid half3
treble 3 (though i do change that one occasionally)
subgen on dial at about 11-12 oclock
and just change you output to suit
my bass is quite zingy anyway and i like a brightish sound but this is also quite punchy and bassy without being muddy.
with this setting the VU meter does dance quite a bit on mine but it doesn't distort.
hope that helps.

oh and try it without any of your pedals attached first, get your sound that way then start adding them in
Exact same EQ as my EB-180. What sound are you after and what type of bass do you have ?
I have a hohner proffessional with 2 jazz pups

I'm after something bright but with bottom end

I generally set my EQ flat and work from there. For my basses it's usually:

Stingray:
Bass: 5
Low Mid: 7
Mid: 5
High Mid: 7
Treble: 5
(With bass/high boost switches enabled)

Jazz:
Bass: 5
Low Mid: 5
Mid: 6
High Mid: 7
Treble: 7
(With bass/high boost switches enabled)

had a chance to have a play on the weekend. The thing i noticed most the the settings posted on here were that Deep and Bright were on - i had not done this but by pushing these 2 buttons in the eq i had set came to life and i've now got a sound i like.

Thanks for the help :)

I've now tried this and it makes a huge difference, esp Deep and Bright.  Total opposite of what used to work well on my Markbass.  Cheers
