I don`t think the sound on some of the clips did you justice. It was good though

That's really kind timmo, cheers :D

Don't actually know who or how it was recorded, it just kinda appeared.
Only sound I could hear on the day was them 4 cabs behind me. Monitors? What monitors :rolleyes:

Here's a little bit of loop-based festive fun I recorded yesterday. Hope you all enjoy the holidays and get some awesome bass stuff!

Nice. Enjoyed that. Nice textures.
Did it purposely have an element of "walking in the air?

These are from some years ago. I don't play this sort of thing anymore, but really enjoyed it when I did. I'd like to do some more when the time is right.

Thanks a lot! I actually put four little melodic references in there; Carol of the bells, a tiny part of the melody from God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Walking in the Air and We Wish You A Merry Christmas :-)

I wouldn't normally as I'm not a patch on some of the players around these parts, but my band recently did a tribute set to Lynyrd Skynyrd at a multi-band tribute show at our local O2 Academy and I had the great pleasure to have my youngest daughter up there with me as one of the 'honkettes' backing singers. Its a truncated version due to a 40 min set limit but here's our take on the classic Freebird.

Bass = Overwater J5 with J-Retro; Amp = Aguilar AG500; Cabs = 2 x Ampeg Classic 4x10's (provided by venue/promoter); Line 6 G50 Wireless

Cheers mate, it was absolutely awesome. Great set of bands, no egos, just good clean('ish) fun, and all the better for having the bairn up there with me. B)

A bit of an odd question but how do you all do the video covers on YouTube? What's the recording chain and process to doing it? I imagined that you would go into a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation - Logic, Reaper, etc...) DI in synchronisation with the audio track? The DAW would have some sort of video processing to go with the recording, right? Please help! :)

Ok, here's my entry: a version (with a few fluffs) of "Midnight" by Joe Satriani, played on a 4-string Warwick FNA Jazzman:

Hope you like it, it's my first playing video! I recorded separately and mixed a little reverb in. Video was done on an iPhone 6, and I edited using microsoft's free movie maker, which is good for free!
