I am a little confused by some of the Amp listings. Humour me and please help fill the gaps or make corrections. Even though some are Guit@r Amps. acidbass Posted July 28, 2009 Share Posted July 28, 2009 I have the bass version of this device myself (great buy by the way!) and always reckoned that the device names corresponded to the following: TWD4x10 - Fender 4x10 combo VALVE - Ampeg SVT2 VALVE2 - as above CLASSIC - Ampeg SVT-CL SCOOPED - Trace Elliot solid state head LA STUD - SWR GOLDPNL - Eden JAZZ - No idea, what does Jazz bassists use? mcgraham Posted July 29, 2009 Share Posted July 29, 2009 Whilst I like the PX4D for headphone practice, I would never use it through a speaker or live. Even without noise reduction on, it has a cutoff threshold below which your instrument just cuts off or dies. This is crap for those who like to play with dynamics (like me). Don't worry about the effects too much. They are useful and you should be able to get a nice selection of sounds, but as you may find it too noisy and glitchy to use live, it's not so important to work out what every option is.
