I am looking for some Boss Pedals spare parts - the rubber grommet that supports the thumbscrew, two M9 half-nuts, M9 thin washers (both to secure the input and output jack), 4 M3 self-tapping screws for the base plate.  A spare base plate , and "bicycle chain" connectors to attach the pedal to the pedalboard.  And, ideally, a Boss TU2 circuit diagram.

I can find all of the bits separately but I can't find one supplier in the UK who does the lot.

Can anyone advise?

I have had a look for Boss Pedals spare parts, and there is no UK supplier that does it all (rubber grommet, M9 half-nuts, M9 thin washers, screws for the base plate).  Instead, I would have to spend (for example) £3 with £9 delivery to buy four baseplate screws from Japan.

After a few weeks of research, I think that I have found a few suppliers for some of the bits.  So I will be placing an order this weekend, for the screws, nuts and washers which I need.

However, I could go further: my plan is to buy more that I need, and offer them for sale, at perhaps £1 per screw, nut or washer, and £1 postage.

Does that sound like a viable option: do people with Boss pedals need spare hardware, or will I be left with a packet of bits that my grandchildren will inherit?

I admire your determination in finding all those small parts!

My gut instinct is that most people looking for spares for boss pedals would either use generic or 'near-enough' replacements or head straight to ebay/amazon.

For example, I thought the rubber grommet might be tricky to find, but the first hit on Google was a seller on ebay... £2.89 and free postage (OK the part is probably worth 5 pence, but still).

I am still looking!

I did find the screws, to replace the missing two on my TU2 project.  The price for four of them from Japan was the same as 200 from the UK.

Does anyone want to buy 198 screws  .....?

At least you know you've got a few spare... just in case!

I am thinking about teaming up with someone who makes jewellery out of guitar strings. Boss Stud Earrings, to match the Rotosound Bracelet.
