Yamahiko double bass pickup system, new in 2023.

Rare opportunity to buy a Yamahiko.

This is the Double sens system - more open arco sound with both sensors linked or really punchy / growly with just one sensor (the link cable can be easily unscrewed for single or double sensor use using the high quality connectors)

The Rolls Royce of pickups with quality second to none. Designed by Kiyohiko Yamaya (and copied by Fishman with the Full Circle in the '90's! But they put the sensor in the disk, the Yamahiko design is mounted linear along the vertical axle)

Standard 8mm threads for the bridge feet.

Easy fit under the tailpiece with a strong output from the standard 1/4" jack socket.

I've mostly gone direct (DI) in theatres, direct to amp and have also gone though a Radial preamp (tone bone bass bone when I'm doubling on bass guitar - sounds great through all of these.

Clear detailed reproduction of your bass sound from a bottom C string right up to and off the fingerboard.

Also the best pickup for arco in my opinion - harmonics really ping through.

I've used it in most concert halls in the UK and many theatres. Sound guys love Yamahiko's as do musical directors due to the clear bass sound (no mud).

Sent to me by Mr Yamaya the designer in Fujisawashi direct from his famous Yamahiko workshop  Sonaresearch.

Hand made pickup, you won't find better. (I've taken the sting of the import duty and shipping costs, all in it cost me north of £750 but I've changed my bass and it doesn't like a 5 string bass. But it was designed to work perfectly on a 4 string).

Been on my 4 st bass for 18mths.

Will post in its original box.

Reccomend Luthier fit as its a bit too special to risk a DIY job.

Open to offers.
