I still havent worked out what that fretless is or if they make a 5 string version, if anyone can help see the video at 40ish seconds for a close up..... of course mine would have to be the right way up Heres a far better quality video to hear how great a fretless can sound in a death metal band. I thought he looked so cool, even though I've never really fancied Rickys myself, and much cooler than Ringo (I played drums at the time).... Thank you Sir Paul. I have never managed to look that cool, but enjoy playing the bass. (P.S. As I have said before, my starting to play bass was equally to do with watching an old video of Russell Jackson playing with BB King). EDIT: As for classic basses, Jamerson's Funk Machine for me too. Read it in an old interview in Bassist mag many moons ago. (or it might have been Beat Instrumental). I also wanted a warwick and now have one too, though not blown away with that.... for famous basses.... the one on the cover of londons calling? not much good to play anymore!
