How Hung Are You?

Wall hangers are essential kit in small rooms, provided you have the wall space for your massive collection...

Here's my 4, I now have a reason not to buy more basses, as I don't have any more wall space between the acoustic treatment, so it's going g to be 1 in, one out from now on.

Don't be silly, there's still floor space surely?

If only there was, it's a single garage conversion that's got a floating room construction to keep the noise out of the house, and there's a lot of kit in it anyway...

I could probably lose the sofa for enough room for a 6 bass rack though, so there's always hope.

I've been on a bit of a hanging mission today...

Anyone else a keen user of wall hangers?

I've used them for years with no ill effects! I think it generally keeps them safer and I've never (yet!) had anything fall off despite all of the ones in the photos being hung of plasterboard walls (using special wall-plugs).

We have a 'Basses on the Settee' thread, but I'd like to see how hung people are!

I could put my basses on wall hangers, but then they would be more subject to temperature and humidity changes. And collect dust. And be more prone to damage in a California earthquake. My basses reside in cases or gig bags (unless being played). 🙂

Certainly nothing wrong with casing the beasts up. While I definitely don't play all of mine daily or even weekly, I do enjoy the aesthetics of having them neatly presented on the wall - almost like an art installation. I get the most enjoyment from playing them of course, but I do definitely also enjoy being able to see them every day even if I don't play them!
