Is the prototype any closer?

 The concept sounds perfect

I haven’t spoken to Martin for a few weeks now as he had other projects to finish off first but I’ll fire him an email later this week to see how he’s getting on :)

Update from Martin - it’s still on the cards, just been a busy time focussing in existing orders etc. He’s hoping to have a prototype in a YI200 chassis in the next few months and then will be finalising the design of the metal cage for the production model. First run will be 10pcs min due to the min order qty for the metal cage design he’s considering. :)

I think a small footprint 100w all valve head somewhere along the lines of the Ashdown little bastard in terms of size should be a commercial success …if competitively priced. Don’t see why you couldn’t fit 2 KT88s in there without overheating. Martin if you could ask them to add a dummy load function where you can run the head on its own that would be amazing 🤩

I've had an idea of changing the way the standby circuitry works - so while on standby, which removes high voltage to the power valves, there would still be power supplied to preamp and enable the DI out to function as well as rest of preamp.

Then, if a valve pops during a gig (which normally stops the amp from working at all)  you can at least get a DI signal out of it.  Very minimal cost or complexity to do this
