Anyone own either of these instruments. I have a spare £800 and im looking for a modern sounding 5 string to add to my collection. Whats the difference between the M7 and the M5.? Build quality etc..?  Any othe modern sounding basses in this price range.?

Thankyou for any info.

Yamaha TRB or TRBX could be a good shout for bang for buck in this price range.

Not 100% sure about the M series but I think the difference between the ranges is the fit and finish and the preamp remains consistent throughout the range. So M7 will have a "premium" finish and hardware Vs midrange M5

Same instrument in terms of woods/electronics, M7 is a bit more cosmetically appealing with a flamed maple top and matching headstock.

Decent instruments, but I wouldn't be spending £800 on one new, i'd be narrowing down what I want a bit more and getting something better 2nd hand. As the depreciation on them can be a bit steep.
