Whats the difference between the M7 and the M5.? Build quality etc..? Any othe modern sounding basses in this price range.? Thankyou for any info. BassApprentice Posted July 13, 2022 Share Posted July 13, 2022 Yamaha TRB or TRBX could be a good shout for bang for buck in this price range. Not 100% sure about the M series but I think the difference between the ranges is the fit and finish and the preamp remains consistent throughout the range. Same instrument in terms of woods/electronics, M7 is a bit more cosmetically appealing with a flamed maple top and matching headstock. Decent instruments, but I wouldn't be spending £800 on one new, i'd be narrowing down what I want a bit more and getting something better 2nd hand. As the depreciation on them can be a bit steep.
