prowla Posted June 18, 2022 Share Posted June 18, 2022 Hi, folks - I could use some help with this item I bought on ebay - is it a genuine Ric TRC? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275302876442 I've received it and I'm not sure; it's slightly thinner than on my Ric basses and it hasn't got the moulding dimples in the "n" and the "r" when compared to a 4003 & 4004's. I was of the understanding that Rickenbacker will only provide you a new replacement TRS cover if you supply them with your damaged/broken one first. I have a black TRC on my 4003s and I like it - it doesn't bother me in the slightest that it might be a fake. The bass is real and that's what matters. I just clicked the original EBay. I'd just assumed it was one of the cheaper ones. I guess you can get people guessing here or the other two options are 1) ask the seller to provide evidence that it is original or 2) ask Rickenbacker.
