I joined last week after googling for a set of Fender Pure Vintage J-bass pickups that brought me here. Seems like a great community. I’ve only been actively playing bass since November, but have played guitar for 30+ years. Richard R Posted May 31, 2022 Share Posted May 31, 2022 Welcome aboard! One of my guitarist friends used to say that bass is easy because we only play one note at a time. Then he realised he strums the same chord four times a bar, and we may have played eight different notes, made sure they are musically sensible with the melody and link to the next bar as well.
