I have a Nyatoh Ibanez and it is superlight, although the body is way smaller than a J. Could this be a rare example of lightweight jazz bass on a budget? Even otherwise identical instruments can vary by a pound or more due to differences in the individual wood, so you can't make broad assumptions about the amount of pork.
