Look at the Fusion range. Very decent rucksack design straps and ergonomics. I have an F1 which they don't make anymore, but the Urban seems to be the replacement. They're the most comfortable ones I've found, in my opinion much more than Mono in particular. Very good protection too. edit: and yes, at least my F1 has a nice and thick belt strap so that it's nicely fit on the waist as well as shoulders. The Urban seems to have a smaller waist strap but it looks like it'll work. It's a pity they don't make the F1 anymore. There was indeed a case once upon a time that exactly fits your bill, made by Summit. Had a detachable bag on the front for leads, etc. Bottom of the case sits just above your tailbone. Has a proper rucksack belt and it genuinely feels like you’re carrying nothing at all. Like others have said though, the downfall is that doorways are your enemy. Having said that I used mine in many’s an airport and tube station, you get used to it quickly. Think I bought mine around 2000-ish, and stopped seeing ads in BassPlayer magazine within a few years. I'm 6'6" and have been walked from the next town over with a ProGo deluxe containing an 11.6lb bass and all my other gig crap, probably half an hour or something. I'm looking something to hold my Fender Jazz while riding bicycle, so need to have good quality rucksack style straps without being too bulky. Was looking at the Fender FB620 but could do with more pocket space for music sheets etc. Ideally don't want to go over £100.
