He recounted the tragic tale of a young couple (let's call them Jane and Mike) who had met young, fallen in love and married, only for Mike to lose both legs in a tragic accident at a sawmill where he worked. We were all listening with our mouths open, at which point he said, "So old Batesy goes, 'So for Jane and Mike, here's their special song, Elvis Costello and The Attractions with I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down.'"
