The following can be found under the Site Rule tab here

Use of the Marketplace is offered on the understanding that both buyers and sellers agree to act in good faith towards one another.  Good faith requires both parties to act honestly and to keep promises, without taking unfair advantage of others or holding others to an impossible standard.  On Basschat it also includes communicating with the other party in a timely manner.  Evidence of bad faith dealings or a pattern of bad faith behaviour will put a member's access to the forum at risk

Conditions of use for SELLERS

1.    Ownership: These forums are for selling USED items only. You must be the owner of the item you're selling.

2.    Legal status:  Listings must be for items that are not subject to legal restriction e.g. age restricted, sanctioned or illegal items.  Items that don't meet this condition will be removed.

3.    Value transparency:  You must state a price for your item, even if your item is just for trade.  Please don't put £0 as the price then ask for 'offers'.  In both instances your listing will be removed.

4.    Pound stretching:  Please don't add items to a listing after posting otherwise your listing may be removed.  If you have multiple items in one listing, put the total price of all the items as the value or list them separately.

5.    Promotion:  Links to listings in your signature are OK if the listings are currently active on the forum and meet forum guidelines.  However posting links in your listing or signature to music retailers selling your gear on commission, or to your own eBay auction, Reverb, Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree ad etc. may result in your listing being removed.

6.    Commercial sellers:  If you are operating a business that sells music industry related items, please don't list those items for sale in the forum.  Instead talk to us about other available options first.

7.    Subscription status and bans:  Subscriptions to the market place won't be refunded if your conduct towards other members either on or off the forum results in you receiving a suspension or ban.

8)  Listing of Rickenbacker products:  Any listings selling or otherwise trading, soliciting or exposing for sale ANY Rickenbacker products or copies will be removed.  John Hall, the chairman and CEO of Rickenbacker International Corporation has threatened this website with legal action for infringement of copyright. An outright ban on Rickenbacker products is the safest and simplest way for us to be sure that Rickenbacker intellectual property rights are not infringed.
