SheffieldPhil Posted December 15, 2021 Share Posted December 15, 2021 Calling all bass players in the South Yorkshire area! The Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra would like to hear from YOU.  Due to relocations and retirements we've recently lost 5 of our Double Bass players 😞 If anyone is in the market for joining an orchestra we would be really interested to hear from you. We rehearse 7.30pm-9.45pm in Sheffield City Centre on Tuesdays (in term time) in the stunning Victoria Hall. There's a loading bay outside and we also have access to free parking next door. We give 5 concerts a year to sell out audiences. Upcoming performances will include an outdoor proms event in the Botanical Gardens with firework finale & a Mahler Symphony 2 at Sheffield City Hall. We play a wide variety of repertoire: popular classics, large scale symphonic works, new commissions, works by lesser known composers...
