PBass - 45 to 105 drop to 100

Has anyone tried dropping down from 45-105 roundwounds to 45-100 on a PBass ?

 

I also play in Eb tuning so that’s another factor 

 

I’m going to try the Fender Nickel Roundwounds

Playing rock with a pick if that helps

My basses are 33” scale and are normally fitted with 45-100, I use a drop D tuner. No issues. I recently had to replace an E string due to breakage and could only replace with a 105, can’t say I can tell any difference. This is with EB cobalt flatwounds.

I bought a P bass with a set of 45-100 Elixirs.

 

Sounded great.

I guess there is hardly any difference in the E string from 105 to 100 and A string 85 to 80 

 

Maybe a tweek on truss Rod but I’m hoping nut doesn’t need anything done
