Does the ABM600 have the annoying notched master volume control like the RM series has?

Yep on input and output controls

Although I actually quite like it !

My current one does, tho I’m sure my first one didn’t.

Yes that correct

Ashdown changed the controls to notched a few years back

You could always ask Dave Green for replacement pots ( it’s an easy job )

I’m not too bothered, just more glad I’m not going mad and remembering something that hadn’t happened

I have mixed feelings:

it’s pretty expensive at the moment although I’d expect the price to drop once the product matures.

On the front end everything looks identical to the evo iv apart from the extra vu

I may be on my own here but I liked the blue panel (must be getting old - don’t like change!).

The proof will be in the performance though 750w of class a/b power - should be monstrous! I’m sure the more technically minded will pick out some other things!

I don’t think there’s enough for me to change from Abm 600 evo iv though - but let’s wait for the reviews and see!

Nope, that is something else I think.

I’m not sure I’m supposed to know so Just don’t Mention I said anything…. Maybe pretend I was in a Theatre of Dreams making this up 🤓

I see, probably safe to assume the extra dials are for a second drive section then!

I suspect so! Be interesting to see what else is on there, and how much it is given the Evo V is … a lot!

They're still missing the biggest trick. Use a VU meter for a built in tuner. I know loads of people who want an all in one amp, and go elsewhere because they have to take a separate pedal, plug, cable etc. I'm sure they could stick one in that chasis. Then itd have drive, comp, eq, octave, and a tuner.
