This is a rather tentative sale, but I’m playing my acoustic guitar so much that I don’t think I can justify having this baby sat on a stand all week.

She is a 1972 Jazz bass which has obviously had some hammer over the years, sounds great, looks great, feels great, and has all the mojo and original parts, covers and original case. The neck has no visible stamp which is no surprise from this era, but as you can see from the photos all pickups, pots and soldering is original. Has a small drill hole above the E string through the pickguard where someone has previously installed a thumb rest there, other than that she is unmolested and altered, other than the occasional dink!

Collection only from Retford in Nottinghamshire.

… without the pick guard, take that parchment one off (😁 lol).

Fantastic bass you have there, GLWTS 👍🏼

Must admit I was surprised how good it looks without the pickguard…

I'm going to play my old record again here. If you don't need to sell it then don't.

Take it from someone who has done as you intend. I have at least two basses (3, probably) that I seriously wish I still had and couldn't even think of affording to buy another one (and it wouldn't be the original one anyway). IN a couple of years time you'll kick yourself.

is the one you got from Randy Baxter?

It is indeed, and I’m starting to think I may just be able to get away without selling, I’ve now bought what I wanted and “she who must be obeyed” is softening on the one in one out stance…. 😬

Good for you mate.

Use a Jedi mind trick on her……

I tell you what, I bet Randy might considering taking it back off off your hands if she turns…..
