Mixing cabs

I'm using an Orange Terror head which has two 4 ohm speaker outputs and at the moment I'm using a single Orange 4x10 8 ohm cab.

I'd like to add a 1x15 cab for some extra bottom end.

Would the 1x15 have to be 8 ohm as well or will 4 ohm be OK?

Does it matter whether it's an Orange cab?

Like he said. 115s in general don't add any low end to 410s, and they have lower sensitivity and maximum output. That said, where 410s are concerned the Orange OBC isn't exactly stellar, being loaded with entry level Eminence Beta 10 drivers. I'd be looking at replacing it, rather than trying to augment it.

Looking at the manual, the minimum load is 4 Ohms, so both cabs would need to be 8 Ohms. It will do 1x8, 2x8, or 1x4.

... is the formula you are looking for.

Mixing cabs is always a compromise. EQ settings cannot be perfect for both.

Unless they were designed to be mixed. Mesa Subway, Bergantino and my EV loaded Mesa cabs do/did mix. Others may do but you'll have to find that out.
