Hey guys,

Purchased brand new only a few months back, and still in show room condition. Complete with the official case.

Weight: 9lb 8oz/4.3kg

Only reason for sale is that I'm finding the transition from 4 to 5 string not as comfortable as I would like (after 25 years of playing a 4!!). Couple of other things I'm looking to fund, so this unfortunately has to go.

Based in Swindon

Now £1350 (£1999 in Bass direct)

Items I will consider as a part exchange plus cash my way:

Genz Benz Streamliner 900

Genzler Magellan 800

Ampeg SVT Pro 7

TC Electronics RS212

Fender Jazz Basses 4 String (USA only)

Thanks

Freddie

I have the same bass but an HH in red. These really are the business. Better looking and sleeker than a Stingray with the same classic MM punch, and TBH the bridge pickup is where most of the goodness lies. The B string is so good it rivals my Dingwall. IMHO the preamp is more musical than the current Special 18v circuit. The sometimes perceived “weak G” does not exist on the Sterling. They’re not in manufacture anymore and this is a US MM for pretty much the price of an Indonesian Sterling. If I didn’t already have one it would be gone. I would say GLWTD but you won’t need any luck :)
