He's got the thousand yard stare of bar staff to me.Ā  I love the way he just calmly escorts her away and returns the cap in one motion, smoothly done :)

Ā

"They've let her out again..."

"I'll sort it..."

Ā Could have been worse - at least she didn't twang any strings!

Man this brings back some memories for me. Why do drunk people think that everyone in the bar wants to hear them sing rather than the band? It happened to us so many times. Then there was the can I sing? Every time they were rotten and if you refused they got shirty.

We had this once at a gig, sound guy wrestled her off.Ā

Ā

She came over after we'd finished and was shouting at our singer, 'It's me! Sally from the top set!'. He had no idea what she was on about and it was a case of drunken mistaken identity.

Ā

Needless to say, we used it to our advantage and penned something called 'Top Set Sally'.

I HATEĀ anyone coming uninvited into the stage area. My worst one was back in my KISS tribute days at a gig in South Shields where a couple of drunken idiots got on a stage full of pyro and tried to sing along in the choruses. When they wouldn't leave, I stopped playing and left the stage, refusing to return until venue security did their job. We'd put upĀ "Warning, pyro!" notices either side of the stage but you can just bet that if one of those drunks blew their leg off it would be OUR fault....Ā

Ā

Shame, really..... would have served them right.... I love a bit of Darwinism.... ;)

I wouldn't mind so much, but just two hours earlier I'd asked @gary macĀ if there was anything to watch out for at this pub and did he warn me?

Ā

That actually is pretty normal for one of our gigs, what is it with women and hats at gigs. In fact, what is it with our singer and hats...

I would also say that where I didn't like anyone using my microphone before covid, absolutely noone goes near it since.

Ā

I did have a woman who was trying to tell me (while I was singing and playing) something, then when I indicated I couldn't hear her as I had earphones in, actually pull my earphone out to yell that she didn't start whatever fight it was that was of no consequence on the other side of the pub. I was very unhappy about that.

Ā

I do always wonder about people who try and tell you something while you are singing and how they think peoples heads work, read also people that try to hand you a drink while you are playing a two handed instrument.
