I play an EBS NeoLine 212 on tour (it stays on the tour trailer) and at my home I have a 2x10 ProLine for local gigs, but I'm seriously thinking of swapping this one for two 112 Neolines. frazerjt Posted September 13, 2021 Author Share Posted September 13, 2021 Well...I managed to sell my 4x10, an end of an era and a goodbye to Ampeg. It served me well, but dead excited to try out the 112 and new GK Legacy 500 in the studio / gig. Sounds like the second cab is a good option for larger venues, but since its pretty unlikely I'll be in that scenario any time soon I figured I'll just stick with the one for now. Yeah I was pleased to see it go, and to a good home too. Have to say again how impressed I am with the Darkglass DG112N. peteb Posted September 23, 2021 Share Posted September 23, 2021 FWIW, I have just switched from a modular 2 x 112 cab system to a single 212 cab. This is because I find it easier to carry one bigger cab at the end of the night (it has neo speakers, so the weight is alright) rather than having to bend to lift a smaller cab (then having to do it twice) and because I find that a cab with two speakers seems to be more efficient and appears to be louder / have more headroom. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's loud enough, I couldn't see any benefit in going for 8 ohms so I could double up or use it with another cab (plus I couldn't afford two). At 28lbs it's a one-hand carry, so easier to move around than two 112s.
