STOP PRESS (11 July): We urgently need an accomplished ELECTRIC bass player who does (or will) use a hollow body instrument (e.g. Gretsch, Ibanez etc.), or we would welcome a DOUBLE bass player who also plays electric bass guitar.

Our band is to be a pro-standard unit producing an authentic 1950's/1960's amplified CHICAGO BLUES sound; the look of the instrumentation is an important aspect of the band image.

Repertoire majors on exciting material from the songbooks of artists such as Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Howlin' Wolf, Junior Wells/Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker etc. etc.  It is absolutely NOT just standard 12-bar stuff, rather there is plenty of variety feel, tempo, time signatures etc.

Would you get a real kick out of playing in a tight outfit dishing up real Chicago Blues, rather than the done-to-death, heavy (Moore/Gallagher/Bonamassa) 'rock' stuff and the bog standard stuff spewed out at jam nights?

Commitment to initially rehearse with us weekly (Friday evening or Saturday afternoon) in CHELMSFORD - to pull sets together - and then gig as soon as is possible. Rehearsals would then only be to learn batches of new material at future points.

Plenty of work opportunities likely, so availability and flexibility is also essential. An agent will be appointed.

Please call or text me NOW on 07885 858158 for more info!

Cheers
