Did you find anything suitable?

When my daughter was learning, it seemed to me that the teacher was for ever correcting bad habits, preempting bad technique, and sharing good habits that carried her easily to Grade 8.

Conversely, another family friend had taught herself on the recorder.  She was very good indeed, but had somehow managed to get her hands the wrong way round.  By the time a teacher told her that, it was too late to change years of ingrained habit.

When I was at school, that was how I played. I could actually play reasonably well and was good at picking up a tune by ear, but the teacher made me play with my left hand at the top and I struggled.
